Comment / Pakistan International Airways took delivery of two Boeing 777-200LRs last year, giving the carrier some 8865nm (16417km) of range to play with! Here, a low shutter speed during a cloudy spell nicely captures the touchdown of the older of the two aircraft, AP-BGY. PIA operates a sizeable fleet of eight Boeing 777s, with four series -200ERs and two series -300ERs also currently on strength.

Comment / A regular sight at Manchester, bmi A330 G-WWBB lands on runway 06R from Chicago O'Hare. Sadly, it seems that it is only a matter of time before the pending EU/US Open Skies agreement lures bmi to transfer its A330s to Heathrow - it's no secret that that's what they bought them for!

Comment / The first of the day's shuttle services from London Heathrow arrives at Manchester with a stream of touchdown smoke for good measure. G-CPES is now one of just 13 Boeing 757-200s left in the British Airways fleet, joining the airline in March 1998.

Comment / The new PIA regional tails look even better courtesy of some superb early morning sunlight! AP-BHX is a new Boeing 777-200ER for the airline (delivered just a month ago) and is no doubt flying overtime at the moment whilst the rest of PIA's long haul fleet is banned from EU airspace.

Comment / G-CEFG arrives on one of a growing number of Flyglobespan services from Manchester. It will, of course, soon depart the UK and join Air India on lease for six months, with a pair of Neos Boeing 767s due to cover for Flyglobespan in the meantime.

Comment / Arriving in front of an inky sky just before the sun came up...

Comment / This Smartwings Boeing 737-500 is currently flying out of Manchester on behalf of Jet2.

Comment / G-OMYT on tiptoes having just touched down on runway 06R, with the early morning sunlight really bringing out the orange in the MyTravel scheme. How long 'till Thomas Cook titles start to appear?

Comment / Keen to speed things up a bit, the VLM F50s have no problem in landing half way down 06R, thus shortening the taxi to the terminal area. This photo was taken beyond the touchdown point!

Comment / Props are always good contenders for a little motion blur...
